“The Bad News” is what we call our bill. Because we are running the H F Bar Ranch for 12 months on a 4 month guest season, it is imperative that we fill every space.
There is a high demand for our Ranch experience and we ask that you make your reservations very clearly with regard to the amount of time that you wish to stay with us. For example, if you make a reservation for two weeks, we will be holding you to those two weeks as there is a certain point, in the early spring, where it becomes less likely that we will fill any cancelled summertime space.
We highly suggest that you check into travelers’ insurance so that you are protected in the event of a family emergency, illness or, simply, a change of plans. There are many private services available. We recommend that you contact Travel Protection Services at 1-800-694-5921 or write them at info@travelproservices.com. Your travel agent may provide other offerings, as well.
We require a 50% deposit upon making a reservation at the Ranch. Your deposit is refundable until March 1. After March 1, no deposits will be returned. You will be billed for the remaining 50% of your room and board that must be paid in full by May 1. Reservations made after June 1, require full payment within 10 days of making the reservation.
For 2012, here’s what we charge and what’s included:
RATES:
- $295 per day per person ages 5 and up plus 18% Gratuity and 7 % tax
- Children under 5 – No charge
- $147.50 (1/2 daily rate) Activities for nannies are limited. (must reserve in name of nanny)
- $100 per night extra for pack trips to Ranch mountain camp at Willow Park
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- Complimentary Airport Pickup to and from Sheridan Airport
- Horseback Riding
- All Meals
- Complimentary Cocktails each Evening Before Dinner on the Ranch House Terrace
- Dances, Ranch Rodeos, Hayrides
- Boat Races and many other Activities throughout your Stay
- Free WIFI Internet Service located in our Ranch Office and Dining Room areas
- Un-guided fishing on the 15 miles of North and South Rock Creek located on the Ranch. Wyoming Fishing Licenses required and available at Rock Creek Anglers
- All Kids’ Team activities (except where we charge for tie dying and high-end jewelry making)
- Snacks in the Ranch Kitchen in the evenings such as ice cream cones, cereal and snacks left by the baker and chef (NO COOKING allowed in Ranch Kitchen)
EXTRAS:
- Massages $70.00/hour
- Wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages, items from the Ranch Store
- Fishing and Shooting excursions arranged through the H F Bar Ranch Rod and Gun Club (see more about them under Fishing and Shooting)
- Some activities like tie dying and precious jewelry making
- When available, Ranch cars can be rented for a flat rate of $50.00 per day for trips to Sheridan or Buffalo
- Longer trips have a higher charge plus mileage
- The Ranch Espresso Cafe offers hot espresso drinks and smoothies for which there is a charge
- Babysitting $10.00/hr plus $1.00 extra for each additional child
- Some off-Ranch excursions where there is an entry fee or long distance involved.
